LONELY CITY

A publication responding to the book
‘The Lonely City’ by Olivia Laing. I spoke to people about their experiences of loneliness, especially in terms of moving to a new city for university and the pressures there are around the university experience, breaking down the idea that university is ‘the best years of your life’ and looking at the reality of being somewhere new, surrounded by unfamiliarity. I decided to reflect these feelings of uncertainity and anxiety through a series of art directed film images.
